I had a great time on Hope FM Tuesday night with Tessy. As we opened and shared on her show, 'Breath Of Heaven', we had opportunity to delve into some issues that deal with Singles. As a pastor, I've always considered myself familiar with the Challenges of Young and 'not so young' singles. But spending time on the show and from the feedback we received, I realized that the wounds run deeper, the torment rougher and the loneliness unbearable. The weather has been pretty tricky lately, and with all the rain and wetness around, temparatures have taken a dive. Well, tis time to spenda some quality time with Family and friends during this Easter Holidays. Finding things to do with others is always more rewarding than being all alone. I happen to be spending this Easter all Alone, Evie and Alexa have gone to visit her mom upcountry. Well, i won't let that dampen the mood. So i will spend some quality 'alone' or 'me' time A cuppa coffee, and my laptop will make the wait bearable. The Presence of God is an amazing thing. it has tremendous power to change lives and impact destinies. We really can never underestimate the power of God in the lives of people. Ever. When we go to the harvest field of souls, then our eyes Must be open and our hearts moved. We long to see the power of God at work in the hearts of men and women. Convicting, moving, challenging, and bringing forth the purpose of God for those people, the cross of Christ. However, my heart has been tremendously moved by the need for laborers. Coming from a preaching session, i led two souls to Jesus, but as i drove off, i couldn't help but be heartbroken at seeing the need for more laborers to take up the work of following up and establishing the new converts in the faith. It begs to be done. It must be done. Where will all the spiritual babies go if the workers will not get to nursing, and feeding and cleaning? I believe the heart of God weeps for the forgotten children, spiritual children...

When the angel of the Lord appeared to Mary, it must have been a pretty overwhelming situation. Young, inexperienced in the 'things' of life, the message must have rocked her world. But i love what She did, and i belive if we can choose to be like her in the face of the promises that God has made to us, we shall experience days of heaven on earth. Read the story in Luke 1:26-40 1. We must call ourselves what God calls us :  Mary called herself, the maidservant of the Lord. To obtain what's promised, call yourself what God calls you! Prosperous, healed, married, delivered, joyful, fruitful.. What did God call you? then call yourself that. It's not pride, it's simply agreeing with God 2. We must Agreed to What was promised : She said, let it be to me according to your word. She said amen to God's will for her. Paul said to the corinthians (2 Cor 1:20) that the promises of God are Yea, and Amen as spoken by us. That means we say So be it to what God has said....

Isn't it amazing how you can be looking at your life and be content about what it is until you have to ask someone to fill in your shoes? Well, that's been my musing for the last couple of months. Thinking about raising others and turning over to them the ministry has been very insightful into my own life. The way i do things, speak, entrust, empower and even relate has come to the fore as we pray and believe God for pastors to be raised in our church and for other churches. Turning over a church can be a scary experience! Yet a very rewarding one. First, it helps you see your life through another's eyes. It causes you to believe in others just like you believe in yourself, and allows you to become generous. In praise and Money as well! But seeing other people plug in and take up the leadership of the church is ultimately humbling, as it reveals our humanity and how God uses broken people to minister an unbroken gospel to a broken world.
