Transitioning!

Isn't it amazing how you can be looking at your life and be content about what it is until you have to ask someone to fill in your shoes?
Well, that's been my musing for the last couple of months. Thinking about raising others and turning over to them the ministry has been very insightful into my own life. The way i do things, speak, entrust, empower and even relate has come to the fore as we pray and believe God for pastors to be raised in our church and for other churches.
Turning over a church can be a scary experience! Yet a very rewarding one.
First, it helps you see your life through another's eyes. It causes you to believe in others just like you believe in yourself, and allows you to become generous. In praise and Money as well!
But seeing other people plug in and take up the leadership of the church is ultimately humbling, as it reveals our humanity and how God uses broken people to minister an unbroken gospel to a broken world. When we think we are perfect, God shows us that he's not after perfection, no. a thousand times NO! He's simply looking for people willing to lay down their crowns, and share their lives and giftings with others who can do the same. What an honor, what a priviledge!
I wonder if you are sharing your life today? Who's are you looking for, a perfect person or a willing one?

Manners Please boys

First up, apologies for not posting for a while. My involvement with a new online project, plus looking for the elusive dollar has kept me away. But I'm back. So here goes! The golden age of fine wining and dining has seemingly been replaced by our quick instant lifestyles that allow very little time for anything. microwaves, email, instant coffee, MTV, Tyra Banks, Maina and Kingangi in the morning.... its all fast paced. And so has the approach to relationships become. Kila kitu ni chap chap. Including the meet-ups. We do twitter, Facebook, then Sms, by the time a week is over, we are having sex online. That's just how fast paced its become.
