God Will do it!

Of course Many Kenyan preachers are wanting. Heck i said it! Well, see i'm one of them, and truth be told, there are times i've listened to them (and myself) and gone like "Wooooo, you guy!" I mean, other than the fact that they are men of God and we need to honor them for that, the kind of preaching going on around here needs some help!
Then you add the hollering and screaming and voila! what an anointed service that was!
If you don't believe me, watch GBS. I mean its just painful. And then they will ask you to M-pesa your donations so others can be 'helped'. Hao 'watumishi' wanajua kukemea kila aina ya roho, hata roho ya Punda wanajua kutoa!
So it was quite refreshing for me to stumble upon a preacher that firstly, made a lot of sense. And i mean common sense, and at the same time was anointed and very biblical.
Bishop Harrison Nganga.
What actually turned me on to him was a statement he made in the middle of his teaching. He said, "Some Christians pray all the time, but they are always broke, and you wonder why. It's because, prayer will never put money in your pocket!"
Wow!
How true
How profound
How NEEDED, in this day and age in Kenya!
Especially by preachers!
You see, part of the frustration young people are experiencing is the constant use of this statement. "Just wait on God, don't move in the flesh, just be still, and pray, and fast, and worship, and quote some scripture, and rabashanda! There you have it! Your Miracle arrives!"
No meditating on scripture,
No finding employment
No going out to find people to form relationships with
No taking time OFF to work on your marriage
No being humble and pleading for forgiveness when you are wrong
No working HARD at your job and earning a decent income
No honoring parents and the elderly
No going to hospital and getting a doctors opinion and actually FOLLOWING IT
No living, eating and sharing life with non Christians without chastizing them....
None of that!
Just PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! and God will do the rest!
I personally think its an abuse of the priviledge of prayer
If we pray and never get off our knees to actually LIVE LIFE, then of what use is the power we receive in prayer?
There are times that God will send us miracles, and we do need those at times. I agree. Lakini when we keep telling people all they need is a miracle? When will they actually start WORKING OUT their lives instead of parking at the miracle bus-stop with a seed offering waiting for the man of God to pronounce that the 'Storm is over'?
C'mon people! This explains why many of the messages you are hearing now are all about, your season is changing, your miracle is here, bla bla blah! You know the drill....
My point is
If you are jobless, Get a job!
If you are sick, Go see a doctor!
If your marriage is in trouble, sit down with your spouse and Work it out!
If you are angry at someone, tell them and resolve the issues
If you are single and searching, quit acting sheepish about it and actually Look for someone!
If you're struggling with lust, get help
If you dislike your non saved loud friends, go hang out with them for a weekend and don't mention Judgement, Hell or demons in your conversation.
If you think i'm making sense or i'm out of my mind, take them time to write me and tell me at the comments below!
I think there has been enough praying, it may be time to get up, and start acting and living life.
I like what Bishop Harrison said, I really do. Because it puts the responsibility to act on us and not on God, like most of us assume.Which really is why when most people fail, they end up saying, God failed me! When they should have been out there trying again!
Or people that say, "I'm being persecuted for my faith at work!", when they don't work hard, they use work time to go for prayer meetings or conferences, they are rude to workmates in the name of living 'apart' from the world, they dis their friends because they are heathens...." Huh? And all the time, they are at the miracle service claiming a miracle pay increase and a bonus from their boss.
Now, good people, You cannot spend time in prayer, then act like you're living on another planet. It just doesn't work.
When Evie and I pastored the church, i never bought 'lunch' someone that wasn't finding a job or applying themselves and making themselves useful. It didn't matter how much they prayed or brought new members to church. THEY HAD TO WORK!
Because then, they were putting effort to their praying. Then, they could give and minister to others, and the word of God wasn't put to shame.
Claiming to believe God and not doing something like getting off your knees to actually obey is a misrepresantation of the heart of God to a world seeking to know HIM through us!
I'm just saying....
